Kara Kennedy

Kara Kennedy is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Canterbury whose research interests include science fiction, feminism, and Digital Humanities. She is a Postgraduate Associate for the University of Canterbury Arts Digital Lab and assists in coordinating monthly meetups on a variety of topics of interest to staff, students, and community members. She has also recently published on digital literacy and pedagogy. Jakob Bæk Kristensen is of Danish nationality and currently a Ph.D student at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. He received his Master’s Degree in Media Studies from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark focusing on Big Data methodology in the humanities and social sciences in his final thesis. Before starting his Ph.D he worked for a Danish consultancy firm called Analyse & Tal as a political data analyst.
